Last week we talked through tips for buying a Deep Creek Lake home this fall.  And, while these general tips will be helpful in guiding you through the home buying process, we thought that we would hone in this week on the high end market.

4 Tips for Buying a Deep Creek Lake Home this Fall

As summer comes to a close on Deep Creek Lake, our team of Deep Creek Lake Real Estate agents here at Coldwell Banker Deep Creek Realty is looking forward to what the fall has to offer.  While many vacation spots around the country tend to peak in the summer months, Deep Creek Lake is unique in that it offers year round appeal.

During the cooler fall days, residents and vacationers alike enjoy hiking in the crisp fall air, taking scenic drives to view the vibrant colors of the changing leaves, local festivities and much more!  In fact, buying a home in the fall on Deep Creek Lake is an ideal time as you can look forward to being settled in front of a cozy fireplace with stunning views of Deep Creek Lake just out your window.

1.  Make a Strategic Offer and Save Cash at Closing- Shaping a solid offer in the fall requires some skill. While sellers may be more willing to respond to lower offers, you don't want to completely turn them off with bids way below their asking prices. 3.  Explore New Construction- If you're looking for a bargain on a brand-new home, house hunting during the fall is the way to go. Builders usually start discounting their inventory or offering incentives around September to sell as many homes as possible before the end of the year. When spring rolls around, prices on these homes go back up as demand rises, so take advantage of them while you can.

4.  Find Motivated Sellers- While some Deep Creek Lake sellers are just testing the market, others are on a deadline to close a deal before the holidays. If you're looking for a bargain, you definitely want to work with homeowners who need to sell fast, as they may be willing to come down in price to make a quick sale. 10 Tips to Get Your Deep Creek Lake Home Ready to Sell!

6. Stainless Steel- Buyers love the look of stainless steel because it looks professional.  While it’s not a necessity; it is appealing for many buyers. It will be worth the upgrade.
